Volunteer
There are several different ways to get involved in the Big Sky Community.
In-house, we have opportunities for volunteers to be involved in the daily chores including animal care, property maintenance and cleaning. For those who would like to get the full experience we have a live-in volunteer program.
On the first Sunday of every month we hold our monthly working bees, which volunteers are welcome to attend as often or as little as they like.
For those who would like to volunteer more regularly, we also have opportunities for you to be a regular volunteer. For this, we ask that you make a minimum commitment of one day per fortnight, for at least three months. However, we encourage regular volunteers to come more frequently than the minimum commitment.
There are also ways you can get involved offsite. This could include organizing fundraising activities; scouting the internet for useful items for the Community (like tools, building materials etc.); providing remote support for projects; promoting the Community on social media or other avenues; book-keeping or website management; writing content for our blog, to name just a few. Alternatively, you may have a great idea that you want to run by us. All these opportunities/projects/ideas are conceived and discussed in our on-line forum.
You can join our online forum by clicking this link, or the one on the main menu, and following the instructions. We encourage anyone who wants to get involved in the Community (in any capacity) to join the Forum and start collaborating in that space.
